If you've never heard of Marshall Barnes it's because unlike many others, on the innovation speaking circuit, he's actually usually busy DOING innovation and not just running around "yapping about it" as he likes to portray others known for their  keynotes and seminars. The most well known and celebrated  speakers are not involved in the variety and intensity of the activities as Marshall has been over the years, even to the present. Marshall has  identified the dangers that the innovation movement can place your business in by giving out bad advice that wastes time, cost resources and quite simply, don't work well. The reason is the lack of true expertise on the part of the presenters.

After recognizing that most innovation "experts" are not, Marshall invented the rating system that anyone can use to determine how much they or anyone can be rated for their expertise. It works like this - in how many fields or areas has the person in question applied what they know about creativity/innovation/disruption. Then, in how any of those areas have they had breakthroughs or made significant developments. That's it, but Marshall, being an expert in all three knew it would reveal interesting data. Most people will have scores in the single digits for both numbers. Don't hire them. The true experts will have numbers at least approaching his. 89/111. Because Marshall understands exactly where creativity comes from and most people don't, and has taught before to teens as well as creativity courses involving music videos before in the '80s, he adds a whole new dimension to seminars and workshops on the subject, besides the fact that he's actually had to be creative under pressure for a wide variety of reasons before - everything from music to military. Yes, Marshall has applied his near infinite imagination to coming up with military responses used against Al Qaida and the Taliban as well as Russian forces invading Ukraine. He is a legitimate "boffin" the British term by scientists that develop weapons. Now  he's turning his attention and prowess in information warfare and psy-ops to the AI crisis unfolding in the country. He's taking on the so-called "experts", the creators, and critics as well to fight for human rights over the contrived and false machine ones. With his new call to arms - "AI? Push BACK, Shove BACK, PUNCH BACK!" Marshall is seeking to disrupt the entire industry in what will be a historic battle in the war against AI.
